THE FANBOY #15: "Why The World Needs A Wonder Woman"
Tuesday May 23, 2017
Tuesday May 23, 2017
Yesterday was a hard day for fans around the world. With word of not only a horrendous terror attack in Manchester, England, but also that Justice League director and Wonder Woman story writer Zack Snyder had lost his daughter back in March, it was a tough time for anyone near a mobile device. But still, it's Tuesday and- as they say- the show must go on. For this week's episode of the El Fanboy Podcast, MFR takes a look at what's going on in current events, and in entertainment, and makes the case for why the world needs a Wonder Woman now more than ever. With the word that Patty Jenkins has crafted a beautiful film about the DC heroine, could Wonder Woman be the antidote for all of the negativity floating around these days? MFR seems to think so. Along the way, he also touches on Tom Hardy as Venom, the Dark Universe franchise, Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) throwing down against Superman, and a little more in this lean and mean edition of El Fanboy.

For this week's edition of the El Fanboy Podcast, host Mario-Francisco Robles is joined by The Splash Report's editor-in-chief, Kellvin Chavez. Earlier this week, the duo broke the story about the major Justice League reshoots that are on the way, and this week they sound off on all kinds of topics. MFR opens the show with what it means to be hearing all the great buzz going around about Wonder Woman, and predicts what could end up being the only thing that stops the movie from reaching its full potential. He goes on to explain those Justice League reshoots in greater detail, and fully explain what was meant by that ominous quote about the film having been "remade...twice!" Together with Kellvin, all of the week's hottest stories are covered, including the unbelievable names that are in contention to direct The Flash, the latest about the Marvel Cinematic Universe's next three entries (Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War), BO projections for Wonder Woman, The Mummy, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Alien: Covenant, the sad demise of the Power Rangers reboot, and much more!
