"You’re about to listen to the Superman-On-Film audio commentary for Justice League- the 2017 version. You know the one. The Justice League that Warner Bros brought Joss Whedon in to rewrite and reshoot at the last second. The Justice League whose validity is about to be questioned when Zack Snyder’s Justice League arrives on HBO Max on March 18.
This is Mario-Francisco Robles, host of The Fanboy Podcast and Founder of Superman on Film, and joining me on commentary for this will be Brett Miro- my old cohost from The Revengers Podcast."
And remember, www.Superman-on-Film.com, a place for news, reviews, and analysis for all things the Man of Steel, will be ready to go by April 18.
Zack Snyder's Justice League will begin streaming March 18 on HBO Max, but you can also currently find this version of the film on the service.

With Zack Snyder's Justice League almost upon us, of course there are a few more wild stories related to the most controversial blockbuster of all time.
Joe Manganiello's recent comments about abandoned plans for his Deathstroke- and the revelation of how Ben Affleck wanted to approach their onscreen rivalry- send MFR down a rabbit hole, discussing how Affleck's decision to abandon that project led to the creation of the multiverse that DC Films is about to head into.
Along the way, he discusses his hopes for what should happen after the Snyder Cut premieres on March 18- and part of that is putting to bed a false narrative that bloggers and critics are why everything got derailed with the original DCEU.
He concludes with some more raves for The CW's Superman and Lois, and an announcement about how his plans for a new Superman-centric fan site.

This week's show is almost entirely about Superman. With a new TV series, a just-announced cinematic reboot from J.J. Abrams, and Zack Snyder's Justice League bringing him back from the dead (again), there are a lot of things to discuss this week if you're a fan of the Man of Steel.

On this week's stacked edition of The Fanboy Podcast, host Mario-Francisco Robles welcomes Batman-on-Film's Bill Ramey back to the show for an in-depth chat about Zack Snyder's Justice League. From the project's inception, to breaking the story that it was about to be entirely overhauled, the fallout from the theatrical cut, and the impending arrival of The Snyder Cut, the two share their unique perspectives on what a strange trip its been.
MFR also speaks candidly with Bill about their differing approaches when it comes to dealing with the more toxic corners of Snyder's fandom, and anyone who's had an issue with him (or any of the BOF crew) are sure to find what he has to say interesting.
Along the way, the two discuss a hypothetical Ben Affleck Batman miniseries on HBO, and share where they're at when it comes to DC's present and future on the big screen.
But before all that, MFR starts the show off with a long form reaction to the premiere of Superman and Lois on The CW. He has a lot to say about this latest iteration of the Superman myth, and how it speaks to something he's wanted for most of his life: More time with his friend.
Things then continue on to news of a Latino invasion of DC, with Blue Beetle getting announced, Sasha Calle, and Rachel Zegler all being cast in upcoming DC films. And Calle isn't playing just anybody, but she's our new Supergirl!
He also touches on Mortal Kombat, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness in a truly loaded episode of The Fanboy Podcast.

This week's show begins with an examination of quotes from HBO Max's Chief Content Officer Casey Bloys on the interconnectivity of the DC universe, going forward. He paints a picture of an Arrowverse, Snyderverse, Titansverse, and Films universe that all work together in a logical way, and MFR reacts.
Things then shift into thoughts on Marvel's Wanda Vision, where things have finally kicked into a gear where MFR had to delve in and see what all the hype was about. What he found was the promising start of the next chapter in the Marvel saga. He also touches on the rumor that Tobey Maguire has officially signed on to film an appearance for Spider-Man 3, starring Tom Holland.
But Maguire isn't the only one returning to an iconic comic book role, because this week we got our first official look at Jared Leto's return as The Joker in Zack Snyder's Justice League. He shares his thoughts on the Joker's look, and his thoughts on finally getting to see Affleck and Leto face off in a meaningful way.
The show wraps up with a reaction to the latest teases from ZSJL, as we've been getting snippets of what's to come in Sunday's brand spanking new trailer.

This week's show, as always, covers a smattering of geeky film topics. Host Mario-Francisco Robles starts things off by poking fun at an absurd rumor about DC's BLACK ADAM, before diving into That Hashtag Show's scoop that Henry Cavill's Superman is set for SHAZAM! Fury of The Gods.
Steven Spielberg is featured next, for his comments about audiences returning to movie theater, and how they mirror MFR's feelings on the matter.
Up next, The Fanboy host delves into how to split up DC's multiverse across several mediums.
From there, there's chatter about The Suicide Squad (NEW SYNOPSIS!), Thor: Love and Thunder (STARTED FILMING), and Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3 (will be using some MANDALORIAN tech!).
Zack Snyder's Justice League is official rated R, and MFR definitely has thoughts about that.
Other quick topics this week include:
- Resident Evil reboot gets a release date!
- Jackass 4 is coming
- The Star Wars Rogue One prequel series Andor hired WHO to write it?!?

For the first show of 2021, The Fanboy Podcast's Mario-Francisco Robles opens the show with a look at recent comments made by Ben Affleck about his time as Batman in the DC Extended Universe. Affleck's thoughts thoughts stir up a whole discussion for MFR on how Affleck's run was marred by a studio that couldn't decide what it wanted DC's film franchise to be.
This segues things into how Zack Snyder was given the keys to the DC kingdom, then tripped up the moment he tried to take his first step into it, and how that means there'll always be an asterisk on the Snyderverse- because we never actually got to see an untampered-with version of what he'd do with with these beloved characters. We'll always just have to GUESS how things would've gone if they would've allowed at least ONE of the movies of his that they'd greenlit to come out without overhauling it first.
Zack Snyder's Justice League was recently referred to as a cul de sac- a road that leads nowhere- since there are apparently no plans to follow up on any of the seeds planted in the film. MFR has thoughts on that, while also bringing up Snyder's own recent comments on his DC future.
From there, we shift to Marvel, Kevin Feige, and their new series WandaVision.
Things wrap up with some quick thoughts on The CW's Superman & Lois series, which arrives next month.
